DESH BHAGAT GROUP OF INSTITUTES: PROFILE:

Desh Bhagat Group of Institutes is a leading Educational Group in North India. It is the brand name for a group of 21 Educational Institutions established by four NGOs registered as Societies under Societies Registration Act, 1860, being run by the same Management.

Brief description of each of the above mentioned Institutes is as given below:-

CAMPUS 1: MANDI GOBINDGARH, DISTT. FATEHGARH SAHIB, PUNJAB

1.         DESH BHAGAT AYURVEDIC COLLEGE & HOSPITAL:

Appreciating the role of ancient Indian system of medicine i.e. Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy and Herbal Medicine in today’s competitive world, the Society established the above College in 1996 for Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (BAMS). D. Pharma (Ayurveda) course was also added in the year 2004. It is affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, Punjab and recognized by Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi.

2.         DESH BHAGAT INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT & COMPUTER

SCIENCES:

To cope with the changing environment in the world of Information Technology and Management Skills, the Society established Desh Bhagat Institute of Management & Computer Sciences in 1999 for MBA, BBA, BCA and PGDCA. It is affiliated to Punjabi University, Patiala, and approved by All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi.

3.         DESH BHAGAT INSTITUTE OF ADVANCED COMPUTER SCIENCES: Established in 2001. Course offered MCA. It is affiliated to Punjabi University, Patiala and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

4.   
      DESH BHAGAT INSTITUTE OF PROFESSIONAL STUDIES

        Established in 2005. Courses offered include BBA, BCA, B. Sc. (FT), B. Sc. (IT), M. Sc. (IT), B. Sc. (MEFT) and B. Sc. Airlines, Tourism & Hospitality Management, Multi-Media and Animation. Affiliated to Punjab Technical University (PTU), Jalandhar. Recognized by Punjab Government and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi

5.   DESH BHAGAT INSTITUTE OF HOTEL MANAGEMENT & CATERING TECHNOLOGY:

In the year 2003, the Society established Desh Bhagat Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology offering B. Sc. in Hospitality & Hotel Administration degree course. Diploma Courses offered include F & B Service, Food Production and Bakery & Confectionery. Craft Courses in F & B Production and F & B Service are also being offered. It is approved by National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology, New Delhi and affiliated to Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi. Bachelor of Hotel Management will also be offered from Academic Session 2011-12 and for that it will be affiliated to Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar.

6.         DESH BHAGAT ENGINEERING COLLEGE:

Desh Bhagat Engineering College was another milestone for the Society. Established in the year 2004 for the Program of B. Tech. Degree in Electronics and Communication, Computer Science & Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Information Technology. The College began offering M. Tech. Mechanical (Machine Design) course also since Academic Session 2009-10. It is approved by All India Council for Technical Education and affiliated to Punjab Technical University. It is running Non-Medical 10+1 & 10+2 classes also since Academic Session 2009-10 and for that it is affiliated to Punjab School Education Board, Mohali, Punjab.

7.         DESH BHAGAT COLLEGE OF EDUCATION:

In the year 2004, Desh Bhagat College of Education came into existence. Initially, it offered B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) Program only. ETT (Elementary Teacher Training) course was added in the  College in the year 2006. M.Ed. (Master of Education) course was also added in the year 2007. It is affiliated to Punjabi University, Patiala and approved by National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi.

    8.    DESH BHAGAT SCHOOL OF NURSING:

Established in the year 2004, Desh Bhagat School of Nursing is offering the course of General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM).  It is recognized by Indian Nursing Council and Punjab Nurses Registration Council.

9.    DESH BHAGAT COLLEGE OF NURSING: Set up in the year 2009. It has been recognized by Indian Nursing Council for 60 Seats for B. Sc. Nursing and recognized by Punjab Government also.

10.      DESH BHAGAT INSTITUTE OF ART & CRAFT:

To train the students in different subjects of Art & Craft, one more Institution was established in 2004 by the name of Desh Bhagat Institute of Art & Craft for the Program of Drawing Teacher Training. It is affiliated to Punjab School Education Board.

11.     DESH BHAGAT INDUSTRIAL TRAINING CENTRE:                      Established in 2004, it offers vocational training in the Trades of Data Entry Operator, Insurance, Fashion Designing and Teacher Training Course in Cutting, Sewing & Embroidery. It is affiliated to Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh.

12.     DESH BHAGAT STUDY CENTRE OF Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi: Accredited by IGNOU in 2009 for their various Distance  Education Programs.

13.  DESH BHAGAT GLOBAL SCHOOL: Under establishment at Mandi Gobindgarh, this School would provide international standard education to the children from across the globe, upto Senior Secondary level, at affordable cost, when fully established.

CAMPUS 2:  MUKTSAR, PUNJAB:

     DESH BHAGAT DENTAL COLLEGE & HOSPITAL, MUKTSAR

Established in the year 2000, it is offering Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) Program that is recognized by Dental Council of India, New Delhi and affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, Punjab.

CAMPUS 3:  MOGA, PUNJAB:

   Cambridge International School, established in 2004, offers School education upto  Senior Secondary level. It is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi:

 Desh Bhagat Foundations Group of Institutes: Established in 2009, this is a premier Institute of North India imparting high quality professional education leading to 4 year B. Tech degree in Mechanical Engg., Civil Engg. Electronics & Communications, Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology. Management Programs like MBA & BBA etc. are also offered. It is affiliated to Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar and approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi.

      CAMPUS 4:  CHANDIGARH, UNION TERRITORY CHANDIGARH:

   DESH BHAGAT INSTITUTE OF COMPETITIVE STUDIES: A Proprietary Firm, established in 2004 at Chandigarh offers courses in Personality Development and provides coaching for classes from VIII to XII in all subjects for Competitive Entrance Tests at All India level for admission to Engineering and Medical Institutions.

   ELOQUENCE – THE SCHOOL OF ENGLISH: Prepares students for IELTS and offers courses in Spoken English.

   DESH BHAGAT INSTITUTE OF INTERNATIONAL STUDIES: A Proprietary Institution visualized and established by Dr. Zora Singh, Chairman of Desh Bhagat Group of Institutes, started functioning in the year 2007. It has tied up with Waiariki Institute of Technology, New Zealand, Technical and Further Education (TAFE), NSW, Australia,  Medicine Hat College, Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada and Bedfordshire University, UK, for academic cooperation.

CAMPUS 5: JALALABAD (WEST), DISTT. FAZILKA, PUNJAB

  SRI GURU RAM DASS COLLEGE OF VETERINARY SCIENCES: Under establishment at Jalalabad (West) in district Fazilka, it has been sanctioned to run B. V.Sc. & AH Course for 60 students. It is affiliated to Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana. Recognition of Veterinary Council of India is being obtained. Classes are proposed to be started from Academic Year 2011-12.

CAMPUS 6: NAIROBI, KENYA (EAST AFRICA).

      CAMBRIDGE COLLEGE OF PROFESSIONAL STUDIES: Established in 2009 at Nairobi, Kenya (East Africa), it offers Programs in BPO and International Computer Driving License (ICDL) as per International standards.
